Help Shape the Next Stage of Procurement at Contura
Contura International is growing, and Procurement is taking on a more strategic role in supporting the business, our suppliers, and our long-term ambitions.
We see a significant opportunity to mature our supplier base, strengthen commercial agreements, establish clear governance, and build long-term strategic partnerships with our suppliers.
To support this journey, we are looking for a Commercial Category Manager with extensive experience in commercial contracts and negotiations, complemented by a good understanding of commercial legal matters. You thrive in an environment where not everything is predefined.
The Role
As Commercial Category Manager, you will take a leading role in negotiating and managing commercial supplier agreements, while also managing strategic supplier relationships and sourcing activities across selected categories.
Around 60% of the role focuses on commercial contract management and supplier relationship management, including contract negotiations, governance, supplier development, and commercial risk management. The remaining 40% covers category management and strategic sourcing to secure competitive, compliant, and sustainable supplier solutions.
You will work closely with the CFO, who holds the overall commercial responsibility, and the CLO, who is responsible for Contura’s legal matters. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders; such as Finance, QA, RA, and R&D to ensure that supplier performance, supply security, and commercial agreements support business needs.
The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager, Chi Nguyen.

- Support NPD, transfer projects, business changes, and forced changes with relevant sourcing input.
- Contribute to forecasting, capacity planning, long-term supplier planning, and early Procurement involvement in projects.
Professional Qualifications
We imagine that you bring:
- A relevant Master’s degree in Procurement, Commercial Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with substantial responsibility for commercial contracts, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
- A strong track record of leading complex commercial negotiations and securing balanced, value-creating agreements.
- A good working knowledge of commercial legal principles
- Experience managing supplier relationships, supplier performance, sourcing processes, and category strategies.
- Experience from a manufacturing, MedTech, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly regulated industry.
- Fluent English communication skills; Danish is considered an advantage.
Personal Profile
You enjoy creating structure and have a strong execution mindset.
Comfortable working in a growing organization where structures are still being developed.
You combine strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills with a practical understanding of commercial legal matters. You know when to involve legal expertise and can balance value creation, risk management, and business needs.
You are proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and are a collaborative team player who builds trust and strong relationships both internally and externally.
